Each one of our towels if made from a sustainable material called rPet. For every towel made, the equivalent of 12 water bottles are removed from a landfill! They are super absorbent, very quick drying and have a luxurious waffle weave (this makes it so you won't slip if you choose this towel as your hot yoga companion)! Best of all, these towels are sand-free (meaning sand won't stick to them) and feature original, hand-drawn art that tells a story with purpose and meaning...
The regal young banana leaf reminds us of lush tropical vegetation in Maunawili on the windward side of O`ahu. The elegance of how each leaf bends and dances in the wind creates a beautiful feast for the eyes.
Bananas (Mai`a) commonly grow in valleys or sheltered patches around the islands. They are planted around lush dwellings or on well-watered banks of kalo lo`i (taro patches).
This print reminds us of the beauty and utility of the Mai`a. It also brings to mind a Hawaiian phrase, `A`ohe hua o ka mai`a i ka la ho`okahi: “Bananas do not fruit in a single day” — a gentle reminder for us all that good things take time!
